Mineral Baptist Church was founded on September 1, 1886, at the home of its first pastor on Patterson Creek. The goal was to glorify God with a central focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nearly a century and a half has passed, as well as several pastors, but our mission remains the same.

By God’s grace, we strive:
To remain faithful to the Word of God, the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16-4:4; Jude 3-4).
To equip the saints for the work of ministry through exhortation, edification, restoration, and prayer (Eph. 4:11-16; Heb. 10:24-25; Gal. 6:1; Jas. 5:16).
To obey the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ in making disciples and teaching them to observe all that He has commanded (Matt. 28:19-20; Rom. 10:14).
We come together weekly to glorify God and build one another up in the Lord. We scatter weekly to share the love of Christ in our daily lives.
We hold without apology to the fundamental doctrines of the Gospel.
God, eternally existent in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—created all things and is the ruler of all He created, including man, made in His image to reflect His glory throughout creation.
God’s rule was rejected by man, which incurred God’s righteous wrath. The punishment for this rebellion is death and judgment.
God manifested His love and justice in His determination to reconcile man to Himself. He sent His Son, the God-man Jesus Christ, to take the punishment we deserve. Jesus died and faced the Father’s judgment as the substitute for all who would believe in Him.
God raised Jesus to new life conquering sin and death and made Him ruler and judge over all creation. In Jesus, there is forgiveness for sin and eternal life.
God’s salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Meets on the second Friday of each month for fellowship and Bible Study. All ladies are welcome to attend!
Each month the men of the church gather for breakfast, fellowship and a time in God's Word. Join us this month.
Every other Friday morning at 8:30am. Join pastor Kris and other men for a time in God's word.
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired of God in the original manuscripts. It is the plenary, verbal word of God and is our only authority for faith and practice (Ps. 119:89; II Tim. 3:16; Heb. 1:1-2).
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:26; Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18). He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and all things (Gen. 1-2; John 1:1-3; Heb. 1:1-2).
We believe in the deity, sovereignty, virgin birth and bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God, very God and man, very man (John 1:1-2, 14; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:17-18). He lived a sinless life (Heb. 4:15), died and rose again (I Cor. 15:1-19). He is now seated at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 1:3) as the only Mediator between God and men (I Tim. 2:5-6; Heb. 9:15).
We believe in the baptism, gifts, and filling of the Holy Spirit.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the indwelling of God’s Spirit, which takes place at the moment of salvation, that gives believers power to witness and testify of the work of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; Eph. 1:13-14; 4:4-6).
The gifts of the Spirit are given by the Spirit for the edification of believers, the body of Christ, and are to be used for the common good (Rom. 12:6-8; I Cor. 12:1-11, 27-31; 14:12; Eph. 4:11).
The believer is filled with the Spirit when he/she is yielded completely and rendering themselves dead to sin. The believer must, by the power of God, yield oneself in order to practice righteous living (Rom. 6; Eph. 5:18).
Creation
We believe that God created the entire universe in six, literal, twenty-four-hour days without any process of evolution (Gen. 1-2).
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God but sinned and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death. Being depraved by nature, human beings are unable in and of themselves to recover a state of righteousness before God (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:7, 16-17; 2:26; 3:1-7; Rom. 3:10-18, 23; 5:12).
Salvation
We believe that Christ died as the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners and all who believe in Him are justified through His shed blood. The actual salvation of sinful men is a work of God’s sovereign grace carried out to the praise of His glory. Therefore, salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone (II Cor. 5:21; Eph. 1:11-12; 2:8-9).
The Church
We believe the true church consists of born-again believers who make up the Bride of Christ (John 3:3-5; Acts 2:41-42; 4:4; Eph. 5:25-27, 32). As such, it should operate solely on the authority of the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit for its conduct and government.
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal, physical and literal return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7; 19:11-16).
The Resurrection of the Just and the Unjust
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting blessedness and the resurrection of the unjust to everlasting punishment (John 5:28-29; I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:11-15).
The Devil
We believe that Satan, a created being, is the open and declared enemy of God and man. He shall be punished in the Lake of Fire for eternity (I Pet. 5:8; Rev. 20:10).
Two Ordinances
We believe in the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
a. Believer’s baptism consists of the immersion of the believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19)
b. The Lord’s Supper commemorates Christ’s death and is to be observed by all believers regularly, but not without spiritual examination of their own life before God (Luke 22:19-20; I Cor. 11:23-32).
